Não me cansarei de rosa e encarnado nem da combinação de ambos

Sabendo que em 2019 esta tendência derivará mais para o coral (cor Pantone de 2019), salmão e laranja (a que adiro desde já com alegria), não vou abandonar uma combinação que usava já muito antes de ser tendência e da qual sempre gostei.

I will not get tired of pink and red neither of the combination of the two.

Knowing that in 2019 this trend will give way to living coral (Pantone color of 2019), salmon and orange (which I will wear with joy), I will not abandon a combination of pink and red that I began wearing long before it became a trend.

Usarei muitos lenços

Já disse aqui que um lenço (a maior parte das vezes não utilizado) é uma peça integrante do conteúdo permanente da minha mala (pelo menos era antes de ter aderido à mini bag :)). Para além de atados ou caídos em volta do pescoço e de enrolados a fazer de cinto, em 2018 atrevi-me a usá-los na cabeça ao estilo ladylike, atados com um nó debaixo do queixo como nos anos 50 e 60 e como Sua Majestade a Rainha de Inglaterra usa como ninguém. Ignore os olhares de espanto de que vai ser alvo (pelo menos em Lisboa mas que também já senti noutras capitais) e atreva-se! Não se sinta obrigada a fazer uma combinação de padrões. Seja arrojada e o resultado será melhor!

I'll always wear scarves

I have already said here that a scarve (most of the time not used) is always part of the content of my bag (at least before the mini bag :)). In addition to tied or dropped around the neck or rolled on the waist as a belt, in 2018 I dared to wear them on the head tied with a knot under the chin, the ladylike style as in the 50's and the 60´s and as Her Majesty the Queen Elisabeth II wears better than anyone. It is worth to ignore the astonishning looks you will be given (at least in Lisbon but also I have also felt it in other capitals) and dare! Do not feel the obligation of making a combination of patterns. Be bold and the result will be better!

Divertir-me-ei com misturas inesperadas (...e darei uma oportunidade ao mau gosto)

Perante a incredulidade das minhas colegas, amigos e família próxima (apesar de quase sempre seguir os conselhos da minha filha), em 2018 usei animal print com príncipe de gales e "conjuguei" padrões floridos. Em 2019 vou misturar tartans, riscas e flores, entre si e uns com os outros! Construir novos looks faz-nos repensar o nosso guarda roupa e obriga-nos a sair do conforto do "look uniforme".  Em 2019 seja mais vaidosa (e criativa) do que preguiçosa!

I'll have fun with unexpected mix&matches (... and give bad taste an opportunity)

Facing the unbelief of my colleagues, friends and close family (although I always follow my daughter's advice), in 2018 I wore animal print with prince of Wales and I mixed flowery patterns. In 2019 I will mix tartans, stripes and flowers, with each other and also between them! Building new looks makes us rethink our wardrobe and forces us getting out of the comfort of the "uniform look". In 2019 be more vain (and creative) than lazy!

Continuarei fã da tendência XXL

Adoro a ideia XXL especialmente em sobretudos, blazers e cardigans. O tamanho extra, para além de muito confortável, dá uma grande liberdade para o que quiser usar por baixo e permite construir várias camadas. Pessoalmente tenho mais dificuldade com as camisolas XXL mas podem ser também uma excelente opção com uma saia plissada ou umas calças skinny ou de corte direito, sobretudo se for alta. Se precisar e gostar de marcar a cintura use um cinto por cima do sobretudo, do blazer ou de um cardigan comprido.

I will continue to be a fan of the XXL trend

I love the XXL idea especially in overcoats, blazers and cardigans. The extra size, in addition to being very comfortable, gives great freedom for whatever you want to wear underneath and allows you to build multiple layers. Personally I have more difficulty with XXL jerseys, but especially if you are tall they can  be an excellent option with a pleated skirt or skinny or straight cut trausers. If it suits you better you can always bold your waist wearing a belt over your overcoat, blazer or long cardigan.

Quererei continuar atada pela cintura

Os cintos (que este ano deverão ser médios ou largos) são um acessório que dá um boost imediato a um look relativamente básico ou mais sério. Os cintos com um ar western cortam a seriedade de um look formal, os cintos Chanel com correntes e pérolas dão um ar ladylike a um conjunto simples. Usados por cima de vestidos, os cintos podem ajudar a construir um efeito drapeado.

I want to remain tied around the waist

Belts (which this year are medium or wide) are an accessory that gives an immediate boost to a relatively basic or to a more serious look. The belts with a western look takes out the seriousness of a formal look, Chanel belts with chains and pearls give a ladylike boost to a basic look. Weared over dresses, the belts can help build a draping effect.

Usarei cardigans

Os cardigans são muito versáteis e elegantes. São bonitos em várias cores, comprimentos e materiais. Um vestido do tipo slip dress ou boho chic fica maravilhoso com um cardigan comprido para um look descontraído de fim de semana. Para um vestido com corte mais estruturado ou para um vestido de pele, um cardigan curto dá um ar formal e requintado (mas não antiquado como um blazer por cima de um vestido). O mesmo se passa com uma saia direita pela joelho, uma camisa, especialmente de for branca, e um cardigan curto. Com calças pode usar cardigans curtos com uma camisa ou uma gola de cisne para um ar mais formal, ou cardigans compridos com túnicas para um ar mais descontraído. Os cardigans são uma camada que se acrescenta ou se dispensa com muita facilidade consoante a temperatura varia. Em 2019 têm ainda a vantagem de poderem ser usados sobre os ombros com um nó.

I'll use cardigans

Cardigans are very versatile and elegant. They are beautiful in different colors, lenghts and materials. A slip dress or boho chic dress looks wonderful with a long cardigan for a relaxed weekend look. For a more structured dress a short cardigan gives a formal and elegant look (but not old fashioned). The same goes for a pencil skirt with a white-shirt and a short cardigan. With trousers you can wear short cardigans with a shirt or a turtle neck for more formal look, or long cardigans with long and relaxed shirts for a more easy look. Cardigans are a layer that is added or taken out very easily depending on the temperature. In 2019 cardigans have the pro that they can be worn over the shoulders with a knot.
