É bom estar de volta! It’s good to be back!

Depois de uma ausência forçada de quase um ano (motivos profissionais a quanto obrigam!) estamos muito felizes por regressar. Vamos continuar com o mesmo objetivo: sugestões sobre a adaptação de tendências para quem já passou dos cinquenta e não quer usar tudo indiscriminadamente mas tem um orçamento limitado.

After almost a year of a “forced” absence (due to some unexpected pressure at work) we are happy to return, hoping to stay around for years to come. We will follow the same editorial line: adapting trends for those who are over fifty (and also for the ones with a limited budget).

Nada melhor do que o Outono para regressar: os fins de tarde ainda se prologam com uma luz de Verão esplendida (pelo menos nos países do Sul da Europa, como em Portugal) mas os dias já estão mais frescos e permitem fazer mil combinações com casacos e camadas que os dias quentes não suportam. As lojas estão cheias das novas tendências que nos “envolvem” mais (o que é excelente depois dos 45). Autumn feels the right moment to make this come back: days are still long enough to enjoy the golden light of summer evenings (at least in the south of Europe) but the temperature is cooler and allow us making a lot of combinations with blazers, scarves and different layers (that are not wearable in warmer days). The stores are full of new trends that "wrap " us more (which is great after 45). Rediscover your closet from last year and get inspired by the fashion weeks and the street style surrounding them to build up new looks - let your imagination run wild!

No Trendy at Fifty continuaremos a falar sobretudo de tendências de prêt-a-porter, de make-up e de beleza, mas também de livros, exposições, viagens, ambientes interiores e de todos os assuntos que possam estar relacionados com a moda. Ah!... e, por fim, relembramos que este blog continua a ser um hobby, sem pretensões de profissionalização e sem publicidade paga.

We will keep discussing trends, make-up or beauty and style tips, but we will also talk about books, exhibitions, trips, interiors and all subjects that may be related to fashion. Finally, let us recall that this blog keeps being no more than a hobby, without having intentions of becoming professional and without advertising.
