Tie & Dye

Começo por uma declaração de princípio: não sou grande fã da tendência Tie & Dye nem particularmente adepta das influências Woodstock no vestuário (apesar da simpatia que tenho pelo movimento hippie e sobretudo pelo Rock&Roll), mas tenho um enorme carinho pela recordação das aulas de Trabalhos Oficinais do básico onde fiz uma longa (e larga) écharpe em Tie&Dye (azul e branca) que ainda hoje guardo com muito amor (e que este ano vou voltar a usar!). Obrigada querida Stôra Esmeraldina por ter despertado a minha criatividade durante aqueles maravilhosos cinco anos! Esta canção de Joe Cocker (já que falamos de Woodstock) é para si: You are so beautiful!

Let me begin by making a statement: I am not a big fan of the Tie & Dye trend nor particularly enthusiast at Woodstock influences on clothing (despite the sympathy I may have for the hippie movement and for Rock&Roll), but I have a great affection for the memory of art classes during high school where I crafted a long (and wide) scarf in Tie & Dye (blue and white) that I still keep today with a lot of love (and that I will use again this summer!). Thank you dear arts teacher Esmeraldina for boosting my creativity during those wonderful five years! This Joe Cocker song (as we speak of Woodstock) is for you: You are so beautiful!

Contudo, reconheço que há algumas peças (não exageradamente tie-dye) muito bonitas e que gostaria de ter. O tie-dye é muito marcante e será provavelmente bastante efémero mas estas sugestões são intemporais, acho que as usaria para sempre e não arruínam as nossas contas bancárias. Desta vez tentei organizar as sugestões segunda a minha ordem de preferência mas na verdade não consigo estabelecer prioridades claras por serem todas tão bonitas. Qual é a sua preferida?

However, I recognize that there are some very beautiful (not overly tie-dye) staples that I would love to wear. Tie-dye trend is very striking and will probably be quite passing but the suggestions bellow are timeless – I think I would wear them forever – and will not ruin your bank account. I tried to organize this post accordingly to my first choices but in fact I cannot set clear priorities because they are all so charming. Keep scrolling and let me know which is your favorite.
