I must confess I was not particularly found of Lagerfeld personality (maybe because I have always been much more into Saint Laurent way of living, creativity and breaking through spirit) but that's not a point today.

Devo confessar que nunca simpatizei muito com a personalidade de Lagerfeld (talvez porque  sempre tenha gostado muito de Saint Laurent, do seu estilo de vida, da criatividade e do espírito inovador), mas isso agora não interessa nada.

Today what must be stressed and loud praised is Lagerfeld's qualities: the persistency, the coherence of his work, the energy to run multiple brands simultaneously, the  ability to reinvent brands and to resist.

O que importa sublinhar e homenagear hoje é a qualidade do trabalho, a coerência, a perseverança, a direcção de múltiplas marcas em simultâneo, a capacidade de reinvenção e de resistência de Karl Lagerfeld.

The world thanks Lagerfeld for making Chanel (tweeds, coats, colors and perfumes) last until nowadays. Without Karl Lagerfeld Chanel essence would probably have died long ago.

O mundo agradece a Lagerfeld por ter trazido Chanel (tweeds, casacos, cores e perfumes)  até aos dias de hoje. A verdade é que, sem Karl Lagerfeld, a essência de Chanel provavelmente teria morrido há muito tempo.
