COS: my beloved Collection of Style | O encanto da COS

Sou fã da COS desde 2010. Muito antes da abertura em Lisboa (abriu em 2014 na Av. da Liberdade) conheci a COS numa visita a Copenhaga e, a partir daí, comecei a procurar a loja sempre que viajava para outras cidades. Confesso que estava mais atenta às coleções e comprava mais coisas quando era obrigada a procurar a loja noutros países ou a comprar pela Internet porque o fator “não haver em Lisboa” e “não poder perder esta oportunidade” acabava por funcionar! Quando a COS abriu em Lisboa pensei que ia perder este encantamento da procura, mas, pelo contrário, gosto cada vez mais!

I have been a fan of COS since 2010. Before the opening in Lisbon (in 2014 on Avenida da Liberdade) my first visit to COS was in Copenhagen and from then on, I started looking for the shop whenever I traveled abroad. I confess I was more attentive to the collections and bought more pieces when I had to look for the store in other countries or to buy on the site because the factor "no COS in Lisbon" and "should not lose this opportunity" ended up working for me! When COS opened in Lisbon I thought I would lose this enchantment of not having it close by, but on the contrary, I like it more and more!

Para mim o que torna a COS uma marca especial (para além das magníficas camisas brancas que são sempre um valor seguro) é a arquitetura de um corte muito estruturado, a qualidade e durabilidade dos tecidos e a intemporalidade do design. As peças da COS têm muita atualidade sem terem a obsessão últimas tendências e são, também por isso, eternas.

What makes COS special (apart from the magnificent white shirts that are value for money) is an architectural and structured tailor, the quality and durability of the fabrics and the timelessness of the design. COS garments are very up-to-date without being obsessed with the latest trends and therefore are eternal.

Os preços são um pouco mais elevados que o habitual na fast fashion mas a diferença é claramente compensada pela durabilidade e pela aparência de grande qualidade. É um design clean e um pouco austero que funciona sempre bem naqueles dias em que não sabemos o que vestir e que garante sempre muito bom ar. O que aprecio mais de tudo é o equilíbrio entre a discrição e o design arrojado mas sempre elegante.

Prices are slightly higher than usual in fast fashion but the difference is clearly offset by the durability and the more expensive look they have. It is a clean and somewhat ascetic design that always works well on those days when we do not know what to wear and always ensures a “bon chic bon genre” look. What I appreciate most of all in its elegant design is the right balance between discretion and bold.
